The listing below is of our regional get togethers which are organised by our members. Please note, these events are for mixed hammered and mountain dulcimer unless specified.
The Northern members have occasional get togethers at different venues, often at local folk festivals or local attractions.
Our Southern members rotate around different venues in the region. We cover Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire and Wiltshire. The meeting are held several times a year, usually on a Sunday. For a list of forthcoming meets and a list of tunes played, see Peter Bromwich's website.
This meeting has been CANCELLED for the time being due to Coronavirus. Midlands. 2nd & 4th Thursday of each month. Evenings.
A regular monthly self-help in Redditch for mountain dulcimer players. We share tunes and techniques. Beginners are especially welcome, and we do things to suit everyone. Bring and Share lunch. Usually the first thursday of each month, 11:00am to 3:30pm, please let us know if you are thinking of coming.
We are an all-ability group and we aim to have fun! We focus on the mountain dulcimer, but welcome all instruments. We try to play three or four familiar tunes from our core repertoire, by ear if possible; learn new tunes brought by anyone who wishes; cover a learning point or two; and of course have a chat and eat our Sunday lunch.
This is new regional group meeting in the Dorset / Somerset area. Contact Jill Nicholas for details.
