These sessions are for new players to get you started.  The recordings of the first year or so of beginner sessions, which run for about an hour and include a mixture of technique and tunes played slowly are available  to anyone on the mailing list. On-line session for Hammered dulcimer beginners. These sessions, which take place over Zoom, run for about an hour and include a mixture of technique and tunes played slowly. The sessions are recorded and the recordings are available to the group both for people who couldn’t make it in person and as a reference for those who did.

We started the Mountain Dulcimer Beginner Sessions with a group of complete beginners, but they aren’t complete beginners any more. These session are for them, and for you if you have been playing for a while but find it difficult to keep up with the speed of other sessions. Sessions are recorded and the recordings made available to those who attended the session or are on the mailing list.
