The Midlands ‘Make and Play’ dulcimer group (that plays now, and rarely makes!) was originally formed in the year 2000 in Redditch! We welcome beginners and are happy to get you started.
We currently meet on the 2nd Thursday (evening, 7:30pm – 9:45pm) and 4th Saturday (afternoon, 2pm – 4:15pm) of every month. This does occasionally vary so please contact Sally Whytehead, Tel: 07463 268429, to confirm arrangements. We charge £2 per dulcimer player to go towards the room cost. Tea, Coffee and biscuits are supplied.
We use a variety of sheet music that people bring and share in addition to a core set of music published in Dave Mallinson’s books “Easy Peasy”, “Popular English Session Tunes” and “English Pub Session Tunes”.
The Venue is : Studley Baptist Church, New Road, Studley, Warwickshire, B80 7ND. We are downstairs in the main body of the church. Parking is on the street (most people part-park on the very wide pavements).
This is open to anyone, but please let Sally know if you intend going along, in case of cancellation or date changes.
We now have a WhatsApp Group for regular attendees to receive updates. Contact Sally Whytehead to be added to this group.
